"The current economic environment is challenging for consumers and retailers alike, so more than ever, retailers need to make sound investments in affordable technology solutions that allow them to improve their competitive position and pass savings on to their customers," said Marc Barnett, senior manager of solutions, CDW. "We have expanded our offerings to include end-to-end, industry-specific solutions and services to help retailers reduce costs, protect their business, streamline their operations and ultimately enhance the customer experience."
CDW's newly expanded retail technology offerings include:

*Digital Signage, which allows retailers to use an interactive messaging platform to communicate with employees and customers and enables organizations to deliver effective real-time advertising, while minimizing advertising, communications, and human resource costs with self serve kiosks.
*Retail Technology Specialists, who understand retailing business challenges and work to develop custom-configured solutions and specialized services for optimal technology performance.

Why should I accept credit cards?
The average American's reliance on cash and checks for retail and Internet business transactions is continually diminishing. Today, the average American adult carries at least two credit cards + a debit card as most people really don't carry cash on them anymore. Together, Visa's and Mastercard's annual volume exceeds $210 billion dollars.
Just for the record it is not how many people are coming through your door it is how many people that are not coming through the door because you don't have the Credit Card logo's.

Why am I so excited? 2 reasons
I have 2 things that I am excited about today, #1 being that yesterday I finished setting up my newest merchant giving them the ability to accept Credit Cards (details below) and #2, when I came home and checked my email, I had a new sign up with this company GDI or Global Domains International, what is the GDI you ask?
It is a company that I signed on with, to help increase my web exposure, initially I was looking for a company that I could build a web page with and I got lucky and stumbled on them...I thought that I would have to go to godaddy.com and get a domain name and then have to either design the page myself or get someone else to do it for me...either way I knew that I needed more of a web presence and GDI was exactly what I was looking for. The nail in the coffin was the fact that I can refer others to GDI and build a team of other people just like me, that either likes to market on the internet or build web pages for personal use, but the nice thing is the fact that now I can get paid for my referrals. For $10 a month, I get 100MB of space on the internet(don't know if I really need that much!!!) 10 email addresses, 10 pages on my site(I like that) and for every person that signs up with GDI that I refer I get a big old $1 bill and that is very nice because I will get a $1 from anyone that they refer and so on(isn't that nice of them)...
They do this to save money, instead of spending millions of dollars on 30 second TV advertisements during the Superbowl, or any of the big programs they can pay me $1 to do the same thing that the TV, Radio, Print ad is going to do. So instead of paying someone to set up my web page, I am going to build the site using Dream Weaver, which all my research says is the best to use and then upload it to GDI's host service...and I get that all for $10 a month, some may look at it as a $120 a year but I know, that I know at least 10 people that that wants a web page, whether it is a business looking to get exposure so that customers can find them on the internet, a family wanting to create a family web page or blog to share with their other family members, Little League Sports leagues so that parents can find out the comings and goings of the league and sign up process and results of the games...kids like that, or simplypeople that like to blog about things that are going on in their life that they would like to share...either way it is a winner in my book...
I have heard a few negative things about GDI and what I heard is that it cost $10 a month and that they only have .ws extensions(so what, it is not the truth anyway) they have the exclusive rights to .ws extensions that is gaining popularity everyday,(which mean website, btw!!!) what does .com mean? ugh, it is short for commerce, all they did was shorten it to make it more appealing, but with 70 million+ .com's out there, most to the good names are gone...I can't even get my name in .com...why because someone else has it already, so that is a bummer! and if you can't get .com from GDI, why did my latest referral get http://www.fancigurl.com/ (click on it if you don't believe me and check out the video, she hasn't finished her page yet)if you couldn't get .com from them...you can also get .org, .net and all the other ones that are out there, sure they market .ws, but that is what the company was founded on...only 9 more referrals and my web page will be free for life...can't get much better than that! If you have about 2 minutes watch the short video...it is sweet and to the point...and you can give it try for FREE for 7 days w/o any costs, no questions asked...that is the thing that I love the best...who else does that?
I would also like to Welcome...

219-769-1311 ask for Dara or Carla
Be sure to let them know that Ryan sent you.
Hours vary but you can usually find them there at 7am to 7pm, I was there last night at 9pm and they still had a house full of ladies getting their hair done.
BTW, I was talking to the Owner, and she was telling me that she is looking to bring in a couple more Hair Stylists to the shop, so if you are moving to the area or if you are in the area but unhappy with your current shop then feel free to give Erica a call @ 219-973-1013 and inquire about the openings, they have space available for about 12 hair stylists and once you see it, you will know that you have found a home. Today I am talking my daughter to get her hair done by Dara, the last time Dara did my daughter's hair, I was so impressed and my daughter loved it so much, she asks every time I pick her up can we go get my hair done! Matter of fact we are going today so that Dara can hook her up.
Divine Designs also takes all major Credit Cards and Debit Cards too, so you will be able to leave you cash where it belongs and that is in the bank.
They are working on getting there website up and running and that will be ready soon, so at this time I don't have a link to give you, but you have all the main details of the shop.
If you want your business profiled here on my blog for the world to see, please give me a call @ 219-678-7926 (Ryan)...if I don't answer leave a message and I will call you back as soon as I get off the telephone.
I would like to end this by saying that I would like to thank God for providing me with the widom and leading me in the right direction!
